Laughter is an irreplaceable medicine accessible to all. It is one of the simplest ways to enhance both physical and mental health. In trying times like these, one can get succumbed into unpleasant thoughts and emotions. Try to move from this unpleasant state by laughing.
"Laughter therapy" is used in the treatment of anxiety and depression. Set aside 15 minutes every day to laugh. E.g.: Read comics, make comics/memes, watch a stand-up comedy, watching memes with your friend, etc.,
When we laugh:
• Endorphins (feel good hormones) are released in the body, which increase overall sense of well-being
• Our immunity improves
• Cortisol (stress hormones) levels are reduced
• We burn calories (not a replacement for workout)
• We experience reduced physical pain
P.S: Fake laughter is just as effective as real laughter.
